Announcing the First North American Shangpa Mönlam!

August 1-4, 2019   Santa Fe, New Mexico

His Eminence, Khyabje Kalu Rinpoche, the head of the Shangpa Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, will lead the First North American Shangpa Monlam.

Mönlam is an annual event of collective aspiration for the world and for the enlightenment of all beings. Communal prayers help to overcome obstacles to peace and generate conditions for all beings to live in harmony.

Kagyu Mönlam was initiated in the 15th century by the Seventh Gyalwang Karmapa, Chodrak Gyatso, and was restablished in 1983 by H.E. Kyabje Dorje Chang Kalu Rinpoche. Read more about the history here.
