Venerable Lama Mingma Sherpa was born in Nepal and became a Buddhist monk at the age of eight. He completed three-year retreat under the direction of the current Kalu Rinpoche. In 2010, His Eminence asked Lama Mingma to come to Santa Fe to assist Ven. Lama Dorje and to assume responsibilities for the continuation of Dharma studies at the center. Lama Mingma recently relocated to help with other centers.
