We will learn how to work with our negative emotions — described as the five poisons — using a 5-step process as elucidated in the text Ocean of Definitive Meaning by the 9th Karmapa. These “poisons” include our attachments, aggression, ignorance, pride and jealousy. We will also learn how to use insight meditation to work with these emotions when that approach is appropriate. Taught by Dr. Fred Cooper.
