Part 2 of the teaching begun on July 15.

The two teachings are distinct and separate – participants may attend one or both teachings on the Four Reliances.

“The Four Reliances” given by Buddha Shakyamuni in the Mahaparinirvana Sutra are deceptively simple and quite profound, mapping the whole Buddhist path in few words.Lama Zopa and Lama Yeshe will analyze the Four Reliances and allow plenty of time for dialogue in this presentation.

Rely on the words, rather than the individual.
Rely on the meaning, rather than the words.
Rely on the meaning that is definitive, rather than provisional.
Rely on wisdom, rather than consciousness.
