Dr. Fred Cooper
2-day Teaching: Chod
June 28 and 29
Kagyu Mila Guru Sangha, Earth Journey, and the Herman Rednick Trust invite you to attend a Chod teaching, given by Dr. Fred Cooper on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29, 2024.
Chod is an Anuttarayoga in the Kagyu tradition and Anuyoga in Nyingma. It is known as a “cutting through the ego” practice, based upon the Prajnaparamita Sutras.
PREREQUISITES
Attendees must have taken refuge. Traditionally one starts doing Chod practice after having done preliminary practices—Refuge and Prostrations, and Vajrasattva practice, and in addition, one has started doing Mandala offerings. But Chod is a complete practice by itself which includes all these practices.
LOCATION
The Herman Rednick Center (Herman’s House) 40 Lorien Rd., Questa, NM 87556. Two cabins and many campsites are available for overnight. Please inquire.
