Chenrezig sadhana is the primary chanting practice at KSK and is scheduled twice a week on Sunday and Wednesday evenings at 5:30 except when there is a special event or Full Moon, New Moon, or Mahakala puja supercedes it.
Chenrezig (Sanskrit Avalokitesvara) is the embodiment of compassion of all the Buddhas and is recognized as the patron Bodhisattva of Tibet. His meditation is practiced by all lineages and is available to all practitioners from the very beginning to the most advanced. Many great masters like the Dalai Lamas and Karmapas are considered to be emanations of Chenrezig. Whenever we feel compassion and love for anyone, for an animal or a part of the natural world, we experience our own natural connection with Chenrezig.
