Part 1 of a two part presentation. Part 2 is scheduled for August 19, 2017.

Rely on the words, rather than the individual.
Rely on the meaning, rather than the words.
Rely on the meaning that is definitive, rather than provisional.
Rely on wisdom, rather than consciousness.

“The Four Reliances” given by Buddha Shakyamuni in the Mahaparinirvana Sutra are deceptively simple and quite profound, mapping the whole Buddhist path in few words.
Lama Zopa and Lama Yeshe will analyze the Four Reliances and allow plenty of time for dialogue in this presentation.

Karma Zopa Jigme and Karma Yeshe Chodron are students of Kyabje Bokar Rinpoche, and have been full-time practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism for over fifteen years. Since 2005, they have been teaching and translating Dharma texts and oral teachings from Tibetan to English for Rigpe Dorje Institute at Pullahari Monastery in Nepal. In 2016, they successfully completed the traditional Karma Kamtsang three-year retreat at VajraVidya Retreat Center in Crestone, Colorado, under the supervision of Kyabje Thrangu Rinpoche, with Khenpo Jigme and Khenpo Lobzang Tenzin as their retreat and philosophy masters. They are passionate about sharing traditional methods for transmitting experiential understanding of Buddhadharma with Western students.

SUGGESTED DONATION: $15. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
