TIBETAN SELF HEALING YOGA WITH JASMINE PEMA
5:30 – 7:30 pm Every other Tuesday (continuing)
July 7, Aug. 4 & 18, Sept. 1 & 15
About the Practice
Nejang, loosely translated as “cleaning the energy sites of the body,” is a gentle Tibetan healing yoga practice rooted in the Kalachakra tantra. Originally compiled by the 12th-century yogi Buntun Rinchen Drup, this profound yet accessible practice consists of 24 simple exercises utilizing breathwork, self-massage, and repetitive movement to clean the channels and awaken natural intelligence and vitality in the body. Though many Tibetan yogas are traditionally kept quite secret, Nejang has been shared more openly by Tibetan doctors due to its simplicity and healing benefits. The practice has deep implications for physical health, the subtle energy body, and the mind’s capacity to touch into its true nature.
The practice is suitable for all bodies and all levels of experience – no prior background in yoga or Buddhism is required.
Participants are welcome to bring a yoga mat and/or meditation cushion. Suggested donation $30.
