Ven. Lama Lodü will teach in Santa Fe on April 22, 23, and 24. He will give a public talk on Mudra in Vajrayana Practice, Friday, April 22 at KSK ($15 suggested donation), and teach Medicine Buddha on Saturday and Sunday, beginning with a Medicine Buddha Empowerment*, Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. to Noon. (*REFUGE IS REQUIRED to take the empowerment. Rinpoche will give refuge to those who request it, but please arrive at least fifteen minutes early to register.) On Saturday afternoon 2-4 pm and Sunday morning 10:30-Noon, Rinpoche will give instructions on Medicine Buddha particulars and practice. (Suggested donation for Medicine Buddha teachings: $35/ session. Member discount. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.)
Ven. Lama Lodü Rinpoche, Resident Lama of Kagyu Droden Kunchab, San Francisco, California, is an accomplished teacher who has great wisdom, generosity and humor. Lama Lodü completed his preliminary training and education at the monasteries of His Holiness the 16th Karmapa and His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche and also studied under the great yogi Drupon Tenzin Rinpoche and His Eminence Thrangu Rinpoche. After completion of the three-year retreat under the previous H.E.Kalu Rinpoche, he spent a period of time leading isolated retreats. He then served for seven years as puja master at Sonada. Rinpoche taught for two years at various European centers before coming to the U.S. to KDK. He has written several books including Bardo Teachings (Snow Lion),The Quintessence of the Animate and Inanimate, Attaining Enlightenment, Maintaining the Bodhisattva Vow, and Homage to Kalu Rinpoche (KDK Publications).
